Delivery & Acceptance Policy
Effective Date: April 20, 2026
1. Role of Roomii
Roomii is a marketplace and furniture broker that facilitates transactions between buyers, sellers, and independent third-party carriers. Roomii does not take possession, store, or transport items.
Roomii coordinates logistics but is not responsible for the physical handling, condition, loss, damage, or delays of items caused by third-party carriers.
2. Scheduling & Coordination
Delivery dates and times are coordinated based on the availability of the pickup and delivery contacts and the selected carrier. Delivery dates are subject to change.
Carriers will coordinate directly with the designated pickup and delivery contacts prior to arrival.
3. Pickup Requirements
A designated pickup contact or assigned representative must be present at the scheduled pickup time.
- Pickup will not occur in the absence of the pickup contact or representative
- The item must be prepared and ready for transport
- For disassembled items, all components and hardware must be organized and secured
The seller/owner confirms that the item:
- Matches the listing description and photos
- Is in the disclosed condition
- Includes all components and hardware
Failure to meet these requirements may result in delays or rescheduling.
4. Delivery Requirements
A designated delivery contact or assigned representative must be present at the scheduled delivery time.
- Delivery will not occur in the absence of the delivery contact or representative
- Delivery is curbside unless otherwise agreed in writing
- The delivery contact is responsible for moving the item beyond the curb unless additional service is arranged in advance
- The delivery contact is responsible for receiving and inspecting the item
5. Inspection & Acceptance
All items must be inspected at the time of delivery.
By signing for or accepting delivery, the buyer or renter (or their representative) acknowledges that:
- The item has been received
- The condition of the item has been verified at delivery
Failure to inspect the item at delivery may limit the ability to submit claims.
For rental transactions, the renter accepts the item in its delivered condition for the duration of the rental period.
6. Condition Documentation
Roomii may require photo documentation at various stages of the transaction, including:
- Prior to pickup
- At pickup by the carrier
- At delivery by the carrier and/or buyer
This documentation may be used to determine responsibility in the event of a dispute.
7. Disassembled / Multi-Part Items
For items shipped in multiple pieces (e.g., bed frames):
- All components (e.g., rails, slats, supports) must be present at pickup
- Hardware (e.g., screws, bolts) must be secured (e.g., sealed bag)
- The delivery contact must verify that all components and hardware are received at delivery
Missing components or hardware must be reported within the claims window.
8. Claims & Reporting
Any issues, including:
- Damage
- Missing components
- Condition discrepancies
must be reported within 72 hours of delivery and must include supporting photos.
Failure to report within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the item in its delivered condition.
9. Liability
Responsibility for items is determined based on custody:
- Prior to pickup → Seller responsibility
- During transit → Carrier responsibility
- After delivery → Buyer or renter responsibility
Responsibility will be determined based on available documentation, including photos, timestamps, and delivery confirmations.
